Title: My Favorite Mistake
Author: Chelsea M. Cameron

My Favorite Mistake

Taylor Caldwell can't decide if she wants to kiss her new college roommate or punch him.

On the one hand, Hunter Zaccadelli is a handsome, blue-eyed bundle of charm. On the other, he's a tattooed, guitar-playing bundle of bad boy. Maybe that's why Taylor's afraid of falling in love with him, or anyone else. She doesn't want to get burned, and even though her other roommates adore him, she wants him gone before it's too late.

Hunter himself has been been burned before, but the fact that Taylor calls him out on his crap and has the sexiest laugh ever make him decide maybe love isn't a lost cause. They make a bet: if she can convince him she truly loves or hates him, he'll leave the apartment--and leave her alone. The problem is, the more time they spend together, the less she hates him, and the more she moves toward love.
But when the man who holds the key to Taylor's fear of giving up her heart resurfaces and threatens to wreck everything, she has to decide: trust Hunter with her greatest secret, or do everything in her power to win that bet and drive him away forever.

Things I'll Miss About Zoology(LAB):
  1. Pagsuot nang Lab Gown
  2. Mga Practicals na nakaka-dugo ng utak
  3. Yung may mga classmates ka na kakanta para lang ma-reduce yung total CS/ Exam
  4. Pag-rush ng mga Enrichments na dapat nasa table na ni Sir sa first bell
  5. Yung na hahati yung score sa enrichment kasi daw "Same with other groups" kahit hindi naman nagkopyahan
  6. Yung amoy ng Formalin
  7. The Assistant
  8. Yung kapag walang ginagawa tapos yung half ng class na nasa harap lahat tulog tapos yung other half na nasa likod super ingay
  9. Si Bogs, na laging naniniwala kapag sinasabi naming "group work" yung practicals.
  10. Yung Group 5, sina Ate Wendy, Ate Ashley, Bogs, TJ at Jeane. Pati na rin si Sheena at Jez.

Random Memories:
  • Yung nagdidisect kami nang frog. Yung habang dinidisect mo bigla ka nalang magugulat kasi gumagalaw na siya tapos kukuha ka nang chloroform para makatulog ulit yung frog. Tapos habang nagdidisect kami nagpatugtog si Jeane, yung song is Breakeven ng The Script. Meroong part dun sa lyrics:
"I'm still alive but I'm barely breathing"
nd what am I supposed to say when I'm all choked up that you're ok. I'm falling to pieces"
"They say bad things happen for a reason. But no wise words gonna stop the bleeding"
Kaya naman yun na yung naging theme song nung frog.
  • Naalala ko yung time na nagkwekwentuhan kami ng horror stories. Tapos may kinwento si TJ. About sa isang couple na bumaba from Baguio to La Union ata yun. Nung nasa Marcos Highway na sila, nasiraan yung kotse nila. Tapos may baliw.

Grabe nakakamiss. Sana next sem, sa Anaphy, ganito ulit kasaya. Sana okay yung mga classmates ko at hindi masyadong strict yung teacher.

July 7, 2012 at Sm Baguio

Never the Strangers is an OPM Band. I first heard of them in a Close- Up commercial where their song, Moving Closer, was played. I'm not really a big fan of them but when me and my friends heard that they would be in SM Baguio that Saturday, we decided to watch. A friend of mine Charlene has an aunt that works for SM Baguio so we got to have "reservations." At 4pm, me and Candice were already dismissed but we waited for Jana and Charie who were dismissed at 5pm. We left school at around 5:15 - 5:20 that's why when we got there there were a lot of people already and the band already started playing. Charie went looking for this Dave guy whom her aunt told her to talk to. We didn't have seats since we were late. :( but after Charie talked to Sir Dave, we got our seats and it right was in front of the stage! :)
Jana, Me, Can & Cha

The band is really good. We didn't know all of their songs but they are good. After they played, there was a meet and greet. Of course, people who bought their album were the first ones to meet them since they were promoting their album. We didn't have an album but after a while we bought one just to meet them since the line for the people with an album was becoming longer. Charie had to leave so it was only me, Can, Jana and Ama left. After waiting we finally got to meet them and they were really kind. Jp is the random weird person, Francis is the "crush ng bayan", PJ & Ace were really friendly.
With NTS
Wacky! :D

We had their autographs, got to talk to them and had pictures taken with them. I learned that PJ took up AB Psychology though I'm not sure if he changed his course.

That day was AMAZING! I got to meet Never The Strangers but I got to meet them with my best friends! :)

June 22, 2012

My day did not really start right. I woke up at 5:30 am which is already a little late for me since I usually wake up at 5:00 am. So I really have to move fast in order to make it to school on time. Luckily, I did make it earlier than the time. My first subject is Economics and it was boring! I don't know if it's the subject, the teacher or the fact that I didn't get enough sleep. Break. My next subject is Theology 3 and same with my first subject it was sort of boring. Our teacher talks so fast like really, really fast and it's so hard to take down notes. Lunch Break! Me and my friend, can, had lunch at the usual place where we eat. Third subject which is Psych 3 (Experiential Learning), at last our teacher is present after being MIA for the past two meetings. We had this activity (I forgot the title), it is by pair, where one person (person A) is blindfolded and the other one (person B) serves as the eyes of person A. There is a maze and person A is holding a pen and has to arrive at the center of the maze with person B guiding him/ her. It was a fun activity and I also did learn something. 30 minutes break. For my fourth subject, Zoology (lecture), we had a quiz and I think I did good. I hope I will pass (fingers crossed). Break.  Next subject, Zoology (lab), we had our practicals and unfortunately I failed, BIG TIME. T.T But I promise to myself that I will make it up the next time we have our practicals. Our teacher dismissed us early because they have a meeting. Sooooo, me and can went to the canteen to kill time and I was already hungry! We met Charie and Jana at the canteen and we talked about our friend that we have a problem at. At around 5pm, Charie and Jana left 'cause they still have a class. After a few minutes, me and can left too 'cause the canteen is already closing. We went to our building, to the 5th floor and MR. LEGAL STUDIES (code name) was there!!!! XD He got a new haircut and he looks so cute! :D And the weird thing is that he kept looking in our direction (we were in the hallway, he's a year older) according to my friend. I think maybe this is because he knew we have a crush on him but I really hope not. So he went to his class (which his classroom is my next classroom) and me and can waited in the hallway because our class is still an hour away. Our last subject is Ethics, our teacher is Belgian and it's really hard to listen when all you want to do is go home. :) So I was really happy when I heard the bell, signalling that class is over, rang. We saw Carla with Erihca on the 4th floor so we walked together and met Rubie with Marwin. When we were already at the gate of our school, a guy (Mr. Legal Studies' friend) was looking at us and it's really really really weird. I really hope they still don't know about us having a crush on his friend! Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh, I don't know what to do if that happens.

So that's how my day went. Really tiring, but that's the life of a college student. Right? That's it for today :)

The name is Karol Blancas Manalo. You can call me Karol but if we’re close enough you can call me Ka. I am not your “ideal girl”, not the “drama queen”, not the “emo”, not the “nerd”, not the “popular chick” and definitely not an “athlete.” I am just an ordinary girl in the crowd living a simple life. I was born on the 11th day of January and have been existing for seventeen years. Now let me relate to you the things that have been happening in my life for the past seventeen years.

me as a child

I was born on January 11, 1995 in Baguio City, Philippines at 3:42 in the afternoon. The images at the above shows some of the experiences I had at a young age. The lower left picture was taken during my 2nd birthday. The picture beside it is when my family and I went to San Fernando, La Union. And the picture at the upper left was taken when we toured our cousins here in Baguio.

My Preschool. I studied at Aurora Hill Day Care Center. I remember that whenever it is time for my mom to leave me in school I would cry so hard. I was a cry baby back in the days. Now I just laugh over it and can’t imagine myself back then.

Elementary. I studied at Saint Louis School Center. Here, I met friends but they did not really last. There are really no highlights in my elementary life. It was pretty much boring.

Highschool. This is the time of our lives where we create a lot of memories. Here we grow up from being a child to a teenager. We make lots of good and bad memories, experience new things and meet extraordinary people. My high school life has been the best part of my life so far. I studied at the University of Baguio Science High School. I can say that this school is different from other high schools. We have a lot of unique traditions, rules, subjects and activities. We have traditions where in we nod at higher and lower years as a sign of respect; we also call our higher years as “manang” or “manong and the lower years as “ading”. We have what we call the morning devotion, this is our time be with our gods. We also have the angel and soul relationship. It is a very, very unique tradition of our school.

In high school, I had many firsts.  Here, I had my first fight with my best friend, first time to stand and talk in front of many people, first camping, first time to cry in front of someone that is not a family member, first open forum, first major crush, first dance and a lot more firsts.
high school

Here I met the awesomest people in my life, my best friends. They are Ama, Bianx, Can, Charie, Cess, Dana, Heunique, Jana, Kimmy, Pauline and Riza. They have been with me through laughter and tears. They are always there to brighten up my day. There are also times when you just hate them because of little things, but they’re the best. We don’t really have the same personalities but we understand each other. We share almost everything, we are like sisters. We support each other and are always there no matter what. They are right when they say that high school is one of the highlights of our lives.

College. I am currently in this stage of my life. I am taking up BS Psychology in Saint Louis University. So far, I am enjoying my course. College is very different from high school. The difference is so big. During high school I sleep as early as 8pm but now the earliest I can sleep is 11pm, especially during exams. I also met different types of teachers. I met new friends namely, AJ, Carla, Eloiza, Rubie, Donna, Jovelle, Mich, Mikka and Cherubin. I remembered my first day in college, I did not enter my first class which is Psych1 because I thought that we would only go to school for the orientation. Well, now I learned from that mistake. I have learned to be somehow independent form college. If before my mom would be the one to enroll me and everything, now I learned to do it on my own.

Well that for now is the story of my life. “Life is a one way street. No matter how many detours you take none of them leads back. So enjoy life’s every moment as none of them will happen the same way again.”
